Cathedral Dean/Vicar Librarian - Bishop Sutton Library, Nelson Administrative Assistant - Bishopdale Theological College Nativity Youth Pastor/Intern Opportunities for Ministry within the Diocese * Cathedral Dean/Vicar Applications close 30 September 2010 The Cathedral profile is available from the Bishop’s office. Application forms are available from the Bishop of Nelson, PO Box 100, Nelson 7040, or bprichard@nelsonanglican.org.nz * Librarian - Bishop Sutton Library, Nelson An innovative and out-going librarian is needed to support the vision and mission of the Anglican Diocese of Nelson and Bishopdale Theological College (BTC). This is a half-time position and the key tasks are to: · Provide quality information, reference and lending services · Lead collection development strategies · Develop and promote information literacy among BTC students and other library users · Assist with the formulation of policy · Promote library services and resources, and · Manage the day-to-day operation of the library The appointee will be a professionally qualified librarian who has strong computer skills, demonstrated interpersonal skills, and who enjoys planning, collection development, and variety in the day-to-day routines. S/he will also have an empathy with the purpose of a theological library, and the diverse needs of clergy, lay leaders and students. This position is for six hours per week initially, 10am-midday, preferably Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The key tasks are: · Communications and information services · Invoicing and related financial tasks · Ordering and monitoring office and other college resources and supplies · Photocopying, scanning, and collating course materials. · Making catering arrangements for college events The appointee will be a person with previous office experience who has strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills. We have a vacancy coming up for either a qualified or partially qualified youth worker, or someone looking for a youth internship with a possibility of continuing study through Bishopdale Theological College. The Church of the Nativity is situated in central Blenheim. We are an Evangelical/Charismatic Anglican church with over 300 people attending each week. The youth ministry is largely amongst Intermediate age youth (20+), with a smaller high school group (10+), but with plenty of potential for growth. As the Youth pastor/Intern you will be working as part of a solid staff team, involved in the day to day running of the ministry, and there is plenty of scope to put your mark on the ministry and develop your skills and gifting. Salary will depend on experience, a vehicle is included as well as allowances.
